Marc Jordan
A graduate of the elite Nottingham Workshop, Marc tried his hand at acting aged 14, quickly noting memorable performances in Peak Practice as a regular playing alongside Sarah Parish (Cutting It), before working extensively in television for all but 10 yrs on popular programmes such as Holby City, The Bill, Eastenders as well being a regular on daytime soap Crossroads, Sunday night drama Down to Earth (Ricky Tomlinson, Denise Welsh) and accepting a key role in Band of Brothers working with Stephen Speilberg amongst others.
Whilst taking time out of acting to raise a family Marc decided to offer these same amazing opportunities to other like minded youngsters who have little opportunity to access the world of acting. Pairing alongside Lee Otway they created Screen Academy – a school of opportunity where youngsters can learn the methods of television acting, experience camera work first hand, script work and with luck, progress into the profession Marc loves the most.
Watch out for Marc on Channel 4 in the summer as his return to acting begins with short film Rough Skin starring alongside BAFTA Best Actress 2011 winner, Vicky McClure (This is England).
